Smt. Dipti Konwar, 45 year-old woman weaver since last 30 years. She lives in Rangamati village of Chayani barduar block and supports a family of three members with a meagre income from weaving. She started weaving from childhood as a hobby and later with time she took it with a spirit of entrepreneurship. During her early days, struggled hard with availability of raw material, marketing skills, storage etc. But after becoming a member of the Mapakkai APCL, she got access to quality raw materails and also got a market space, which  helped her to think big in weaving.. She got the chance to attend various traning programs, specially on natural dyeing and weaving organised by Diya Foundation. 

Now she weaves regularly and is able to earn Rs. 8000/- to Rs. 10000/- per month. Her annual earnings from weaving enhanced upto Rs. 1.0 lakhs by practicing successfully.  Smt. Konwar is a contented and happy to assist for providing improved lifestyle to the family.
