Diya Foundation significantly managed to facilitate the Farmers of Nalbari, Bherbheri, Lankhar and Dimali area to plant Banana commercially. Before they were doing it small away, reluctant to do it commercially, because of lack of technical knowledge and training. So, they were given training on Banana cultivation and marketing under the project. They were given Banana (Variety- Malbhok) Saplings by Diya Foundation to make them encourage. Now more than 250 farmers are doing commercially and earning income of Rs.2 to 4 lakh per year. Since their homestead land is small, they take land as lease for 2 to 5 years.
